UPMC Montefiore

Located near the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland, UPMC Montefiore, as part of UPMC Presbyterian complex that provides a continuum of care for the specialty services offered at Presby. Founded in 1908, the hospital was initially established to provide a place where Jewish physicians could practice medicine and Jewish patients could receive care with understanding and dignity and Jewish achievements in health care would be extended to everyone.

Parking

Secured parking is available in four parking garages adjacent to each building in the complex. Visitors who park in a garage for seven to 24 hours are eligible for a flat parking fee. To receive the discount, present your parking ticket to the information desk at UPMC Montefiore or UPMC Presbyterian. Discounted rates are $8 for self-parking and $10 for valet.

FAQs

  • What are the visiting hours?


    General visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, visiting hours on the surgical units are not limited to as specific time period. Please coordinate your visit with the patients nurse. The Intensive Care Units offer a flexible visitation policy and times are limited for visits.

  • Why would a visitor be asked to leave a patient's room?

    Sometimes visitors may be asked to leave the patient’s room. This may happen if the patient needs to be examined by a nurse or doctor, the patient’s condition has changed, the patient asked to be left alone.
